Kindergarten's Van Gogh Collages
This is a project I created for the kindergarten students at Jones Valley Elementary last year. Each student painted his/her backgrounds, drew and cut out flowers, leaves, and vases. Students learned about horizon lines, organic and geometric shapes, symmetry, and texture. They drew with glue on their vases, then paitned them, and overlayed that with pastels of a different color. Children were happy with their results when they saw them displayed on the bulletin board. We had a critique after the posting.
